August 5, 200322 yr OK guys I am really getting frustrated with this FMC. I want to fly a route from CYVR to CYYC. I use the FS9 flightplanner tool to give me the route ,then I rename it simply CYVRCYYC. when i go to enter this name in the CO Route all I get is a message "NOT IN DATABASE". does the flightplan have to copied to some folder within the PMDG folder in FS9 ? also where is FS9 saving flightplans because there does not seem to be a MY Flights folder anymore? appreciate your ehlp so i can actually start to fly this bird!! August 5, 200322 yr Hi JohnThe FMS in the PMDG NG does not have the capability to import FS9/FS2k2 flight plans. You have to use either one of FSBuild 1.43 or the payware big brother FSBuild 2.0. Do a search on this forum for FSBuild and I'm sure you'll get locations where you can find it!BTW. You can fly this bird without any FMS planning. Gets you a feel for it before you let the AFDS take over! ;-) And it is wonderful to fly by hand!Hope it helps, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
August 5, 200322 yr I assume that you have your NAVAIDS in the FMC's database. Keep in mind that you have to enter the entire route manually into the FMC, there's no option in the FMC to import FS9 flight plan like D737 has.If you need more help, let me know.
August 5, 200322 yr well I have the SIDS/STARs from navdata in the SID/STAR folder within the PMDG folder-is that what u mean by NAVAIDS??
August 5, 200322 yr You have to have the latest AIRAC file from www.navdata.at. But that site is currentlyoffline due to provider change. If you're interested give me a shout and I'll send it over to you.Self extracting exe-file. Should extract itself to FMCWPNavdata if you have that folder. If not, create it before you run the file!Regards, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
