August 5, 200322 yr I've looked at all textures on the NG. you guys are using a lot of 32 bits BMP's, and they are huge. I used imagetools.exe and converted the bigones into dxt3 textures. Their're 1/3 the size. It sure looks the same, but you earn a lot of fps. my texture folder is now under 32 megs. Why not use dxt3 textures all over the aircraft?Jan Roar R
August 5, 200322 yr PMDG can correct me, but I imagine that they used the higher quality bitmaps because they are just that, higher quality bitmaps. Nothing but the highest quality for this airplane ;-)
