August 6, 200322 yr I know that there have been threads about panel and flood lights, but I flew last night and with the panel lights on could not read any of the numbers on the MCP or some of the main panel gauges were hard to read.I have the patch on and was wondering if this is my problem or the aircraft in general? August 6, 200322 yr Try adjusting the color through the PMDG menu, you can change the MCP color, all new NGs rolling out of Boeing field have BLUE digits, not orange on their MCPs....[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. August 6, 200322 yr Randy,it's maybe that was Jeff was referring to -> Number field does not fit exactly in the field and the colour is slightly different ?And while I'm at it and didn't get any response in an earlier thread, why does the undocked radio panel use that much disturbing space ? The throttle windows looks correct now.Mikehttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/28652.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/28660.jpg
August 6, 200322 yr Pre-SU1, I found the MCP digits did not fit as above. I haven't been able to test SU1 yet.Lee Hetherington (KBED)
August 6, 200322 yr I will be out of town till Sunday and will try to work on my panel lights but my lights are worse than MikeAlpa's so we will see what can be done on my end. JeffG
August 6, 200322 yr Yes I was aware of the digit *background*, he is having trouble seeing the numbers and as of this moment that is all we have to work with, I am trying to be helpful in the current situation. Anyways here is some shot of the digits the way I like them, they are very readable. As for the digit's background not streching all the way or blending too much with the orange digit color, that's a gauge issue that PMDG will have to examine. I personally do not fly with panel lights on ;)http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/28792.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/28793.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/28794.jpg[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. August 7, 200322 yr Randy, you're right, the white numbers are the best readable. The orange numbers are harder to read especially at lower resolutions than 1280*1024.One more facts regarding the Multi Monitor Undocking :1. Only the Overhead Panel and the Throttle have no extra space around them, but the FMC and the Radio Panel have.2. So I decided to put the Overhead Panel on the second monitor. But using the "O" from MZALFOTRI with the mouse and then undock doesn't work, because then the main panel window stays black. Using Shift-6 for undocking works.3.Now every time I change MZAL views with the mouse the Overhead Panel on the second monitor disappaers and I have to reactivate it again.4. If I change MZAL view using Shift-3,4,5,..., the Overhead Panel stays on the second monitor, but the framerate drops by 50%.Just kidding, but if I would want to screw this up, I would probably do it like this ;). No pun intended...Sigh...Mike
