error in Aeromexico livery

Featured Replies

Hi,wanted to recreate a flight I was in about one and a half months ago - MMUN (Cancun) to MMMX (Mexico City) - of course in reality it was a MD80 or something like that :-)Therefore I downloaded the Aeromexico - livery from the PMDG-site.The 2D-version doesn't show any cockpit, the VC-version shows the cockpit normally, but the VC has transparent spots (see attachement) :-(I have looked at the aircraft.cfg, but I don't think I have made a mistake there....My 737NG is patched with the latest patch...All the my other -700 models work fine, I'm used FS2K2 for the screens.regards,Joerg

Joerg, you'll need to copy over some of the VC textures from the default paint. Easiest way to do it is copy the textures from the Aeromexico livery into a temp folder, then copy the textures from the default PMDG 737-700 texture directory, paste them into the Aeromexico directory, overwrite if asked, then paste in the Aeromexico textures from that temp directory, overwrite when prompted, this should fix it ;)

Cheers,

John, Assuming you where talking about the texture folders under Flight Simulator 9AircraftPMDG737-700-Winglets:I don't think the textures are missing. I have the same number of texture files in the standard texture-folder as in the Aeromexico-folder (textures.AML)...I also tried to overwrite them, but, as I had expected, I had a PMDG-livery then instead of an Aeromexico-livery... :-(I think some of the textures are just wrong...regards,Joerg

Joerg,Yes, I meant those textures. You shouldn't have any PMDG textures if you do it correctly :) The size of the exe files would be larger if they used ALL the textures, so I guess they just pack the textures specific to the livery.Try this:Install the Aeromexico livery. Cut ALL the textures from the folder it creates, make a temp folder and put them in there. Now copy over ALL the textures from the texture folder, paste them into the Aeromexico folder. Now go back to the temp folder where you put the Aeromexico textures, cut and paste back into the Aeromexico folder, overwrite when prompted.
