August 7, 200322 yr First, Let me start off by saying, Im a novice. Ive never use an FMC before and was a little imtimidated by it. Ive read all the tutorials and seem to be stuck. Im trying to set up a simple trip from Den to Phx. When I enter KDEN and press LSK1, I get "Not in Database" error. Is this because I don't have something I need, installed? Ive read about missing data fies in other threads and downloaded 767 pic files and installed them as some have suggested, but still get this error. Help please! Rob
August 7, 200322 yr Rob, First thing you need to double check is your Navdata path, it should be here in FS2002 X:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFS2002FMCWPNavData X being whatever drive you have it installed on and here for COF X:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9FMCWP Next, be sure you go through the proper pre flight pages IDENTPOS INITROUTE etc... Remember that the ROUTE is not programed from the LEGS page but from the RTE page ;) When you come to the RTE page and enter your ORIGIN and DESTINATION airports to push NEXT PAGE on the CDU, you can then manually enter your route, the VIA line for airways and the TO line for Direct routing to waypoints....[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. August 7, 200322 yr Im usinf FS9 on XP and I don't even have a FMCWP directory off of Flight Simulator 9. I guess thats my first problem. Ive installed the 737 Twice, but its never created that directory. I can create the directory manually, but what files need to go in it?Rob
August 7, 200322 yr Rob,Go to this thread (http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=136&topic_id=13056&mesg_id=13056&page=) and follow the link in it to get the AIRAC cycle that you need(files that have the navdata in it)Then, run the installer. Point the installer to your FS9FMCWP directory and then install the nav files. You should be good to go. :-hah
August 7, 200322 yr Rob, yes create the folder with that EXACT name and location (MAIN COF folder) and install the Airac into that folder, you will then have no problems ;) X:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9FMCWPNAVDATA <------------------------the contents of the AIRAC go INTO this...[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J.
