A Frame Rate Comparison Question

Featured Replies

Hi There,In preparation of my purchase, I'm wondering if anyone can offer a comparison in frame rates to other payware aircraft? How, for example, does the PMDG 737 compare to the PSS Dash 8 or Captain Sim's 727?If anyone can provide me with a response to these I'd be very greatful as I already own the two above mentioned planes. These currently perform well but push my PC to it's limit. I do however have more RAM ordered to boost performance.Thank you and regards,Sean Lester

Bump. How sad that I have to bump myself!Sorry,Sean Lester

Sad? Maybe no one had an answer. Patience is a virtue ;-)I'm having terrible frame rate issues with this plane. Tried it on VATSIM last night in 2004. I rarely broke 10 frames/sec no matter what view and what alt I was at. I turned sliders down, no luck. It was a slide show. Couple that with still no reply to two (2) emails over the past 3 days to PMDG, I'd have to say I'm very dissapointed in my purchase.Hopefully things will improve, but I keep asking myself "Why do you buy unfinished products?"LanceP.S. My system: P4 2.4, 768 PC2700 DDR ram, Radeon 9800 Pro, 80G ATA HD with 50G available.

forgot to compare it... Since I can't use the PSS in 2004 yet, I guess I can't compare them.

Have you checked the other threads concerning increasing FPS? One suggestion which seems to have provided significant change is turning off AGP Texture Acceleration.George
