VNAV DISCONNECT Problem(HELP)

Featured Replies

Ok Ok Ok!!!!!! Before I go into what some may consider a rant I would like to share some nice screens from a flight I did tonight from GEG to SEA, and I would like to inform you that the new NAVDATA AIRAC 308 fixed my problem with my FMC data such as SIDS and STARS.OK!!!!!!....Here is the sceeens....http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/29625.jpgCover the Cascade mountians at FLAKK INT at 12000fthttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/29626.jpgTouching down at KSEAThese are of course using FS9.Now on with the problem.......I am doing everything the same as I was in FS2002 when it come to loading the the FMC with the route...SIDS...STARS and PERF information however I also am following the same procedure for my pre-flight cockpit checks and and setting up the MCP as I did in FS 2002. The problem comes when I get airbourne and engage the AP/LNAV and VNAV and that problem is trying to get the LNAV to engage and stay engaged I also am getting a UNABL TO CRZ message on a flight that is 220nm in length when I should be able to CRZ at FL180 with no problem at all. Am I doing somthing wrong????As I have stated in earlier post I think this NG is one of the most beautiful birds ever created for FS but it is starting to frustrate me with the low frame rate problems in the 2D mode....I have a AMD 1800Xp CPU with a EVGA Ti4200 VidCard and 512 DDRPC2700 ram, my sliders are not even close to being MAXED and coming into areas like SEA my frame rates are 5-7FPS. It seems as though I get past one problem then two more pop up.And yes...I have adjusted the the gauge FPS sliders.I also am tierd of the over sensitive Terrain Warning when I am on final approach and on the GS and a MAP view that does not function properly. Here is a screenshot of my flight tonight in which I could not get LNAV to engage and got the UNABLE CRZ...is there anything you see wrong....Also look at the airspeed indicator pretty low airspeed for 15000 you will nose why Im in a nose up pitch.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/29627.jpgI have removed and reinstalled the NG and applied the service pack.I would like to know what I can do to to correct these issues.ThanksRandy Smith

There ARE some issues that are being fixed right now. For now I see your speed bug is wrong even though you have 252 in the IAS/MACH window engaged. So even though mcp speed is *active* it's not commanding correctly here for whatever reason. In cases like this I would CYCLE the AP and FD and then use V/S to attain your crz altitude (small altitude changes). Once you are at crz altitude engage VNAV, it should work. Anthony is working on it and I have complete faith in his talent...[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J.
