August 14, 200322 yr Hello,I've got a problem regarding the location that the FMC is giving to airports and the routes. I could better show it with a pic: (sorry for the awfull quality)http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/30739.jpgI'am now @ the runway, but the display is saying something else. I think is has something to do with the FMC pos init tab, so I included that one aswel. When I tried to land the airport isnn't at the place the LNAV direct me toI've done everyting like your flight tutorial wrote. Could somebody please help me :-)I've used the (new) SU1 BTW.Thanks in advantage,John
August 14, 200322 yr Tentative answers ;-)1) The last pos is the last pos saved at engine shutdown. So it might not be where you are... If you want to be sure, click the LSK L1. This will force last pos to current pos.For the time being, the LAST POS entry is not used by the FMC.2) Have you correctly selected the arrival runway ? Some runways are way off (well, sort of) from the position of the airport... Also, do you have the latest airac data ?anthonyAnthony MertonPrecision Manuals Developmenthttp://www.precisionmanuals.com
August 15, 200322 yr Hi,Thanks for these answers but no luck. When I push LSK L1 I will get the pos that I'm on now. (checked it via the map view). Before the patch there was a LSK R4 I believe where you needed to puth your possition in, but I'am missing that now. I have the latest Airec databaseI've got these problems at ALL airports BTW :-(Any more idea'sThanksJohn :-)
August 16, 200322 yr Yeah. What happened to LSK R4/5 where you could enter the aircraft position? It disappeared with SU1.Lee Hetherington (KBED)
August 16, 200322 yr John, Can you go into your main flight simulator folder and locate the MODULES FOLDER and locate the PMDGOptionsDLL and tell me the time "MODIFIED" please? Thank you. Just *Rightclick* on the dll and choose PROPERTIES it will show this:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/30986.jpg EDIT: Hehe[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. August 16, 200322 yr I think you need to make that a bit bigger, Randy. I can't quite see it from FL330. ;-)EDIT: I see you reduced its size by almost 50%.Lee Hetherington (KBED)
August 16, 200322 yr John... Your problem may be related to your European computer settings.Check for the PMDG forum topic:radio digetsUse the exact (wrong) spelling. I don't know if this problem was fixed with SU1 or not?Good luck!Cheers.Ian.
August 16, 200322 yr You Have selected the North orientated PLAN Mode for the NAV display.Move back to MAP Mode and all should appear okay.
August 16, 200322 yr As the IRS / FD etc. were by default initialized, we removed the IRS pos init thing which was in contradiction with the fact the IRS was already initialized.anthonyAnthony MertonPrecision Manuals Developmenthttp://www.precisionmanuals.com
August 16, 200322 yr If I might add Lee, many of us would like to see the IRS implemented back into the aircraft. I know Robert has stated that we might see this in the 800-900 including the IRS aft panel. It's not a 100% sure thing as of yet but the interest shown on the forum will weigh in on the matter ;)[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J.
