September 3, 200322 yr Letting the autopilot fly the STAR is all very well, but the lat part always results in a straight line to the landing runway threshold (i.e. no real approach). Is there an easy way to create/programme into the FMC nav system a Final Approach Fix on the landing runway heading, for example 8 or 10 miles from touchdown? Thanks for any help.Toni.
September 3, 200322 yr Toni,On the ARR page on the CDU you can create a runway extension waypoint (RWY EXT I think) on the right side. Enter the distance from the RWY treshold before EXECuting the ARR. This can be used for a FAF for example.Hope it helps, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
