September 20, 200322 yr Ok Slowly but surely ill get there ,Fist question ...Once I have entered eg egll as a departure airport and then egpfthe arrival airport both show up the correct airports. I then auto generate the route and lovely jubbly there is a nice route. I then change the FLIGHT PLAN box to say eglltoegpf. Hopefully this means that when I press the build button it will be saved in the PMDG flight plans folder as that and therefore... when I go to insert this into the FMC CO ROUTE LSK it should come up.However when it goes to build the flight plan it comes up with this error. see file attatched. It says error couldnt not create flight plan eglltoegpf.rte or something. I nearly thought I had got some where but no.Ive installed the update version2.1 and ive selected so it exports to the pmdg737nt. But still no file can be made. :(Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong. :)Im sure I read some where that you change the writing in the light blue box to eg eglltoegpf and that way when you go to the fmc you simply have to enter this route as before and then the route is loaded but nada happens ....Hopefully a genius will come my way and direct me accordingly. Thanks for your time. :)Juan Garcia-MendezGlasgowBritish Airways Engineering Tech
September 20, 200322 yr JuanI am not sure but it think it is the format: eglltoegpf. Try this format: egllegpf meaning without the "to" in between! I think eight digits is the number FMC and FS BUILD can handle here.

I nearly thought I had got some >where but no.You are recieving that error because you have not defined the location of your 'root' FS folder on the Export directories page.Without the FS root folder Set Fsbuild cannot write the plan to your PMDG flight plans folder which is within your FS folder. So it is important you tell Fsbuild the directory where FS is installed.Set the FS folder location on the 'Options/Export Directories' page in FSBuild.Regards.Ernie.
September 20, 200322 yr hEY OK ONE PROBLEM SOLVED :)Ive done everything youve said above and the file has been saved to the PMDG/FLIGHTPLANS FOLDER.nOW when I load up the fmc on the PMDG aircraft and I try to load up the file EGPFEGLC it says its not in the data base. Could this be eglc or egpf. I think its eglc. There must be a file that I cana dd to the PMDG FOLDER TO ALLOW IT TO BE RECOGNISED. Thnaks so much for replying to these messages Ive never really used AVSIM FORUM BUT ITS PROVING USEFULJuan Garcia-MendezGlasgow BA eNGINEERING

If you do not have the Navdata used by the FMC in your FS folder that may be the cause of your second error.Example FS2002FMCWPNavdataIf you do not have files in the Navdata folder, or do not have this path, then you need to go to the Navdata website and download and Install the 767PIC PMDG 737NG Navdata.http://www.navdata.at/airac_dl.htmRegards.Ernie.
