FMC Problem.. No NavData Found??

Featured Replies

Hello fellow aviators -I installed the Airac in the appropriate directory, but I believe that is just for SIDS/STARS? I am unable to enter any airport into the FMC. On the initial page, the FMC displays "No NavData" ?What am I doing wrong? thanks!Kevin

The Airac has nothing whatsoever to do with sidsstars. This means that you do not have the Airac installed correctly. It goes here: C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9FMCWPNAVDATA The files go within the NAVDATA folder, make sure you do not have another folder called NAVDATA within the first navdata folder or it won't read it. If you do not have a FMCWP folder, make one and be sure to make the navdata one within the FMCWP folder. [h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Thanks for the quick response Randy! I'll go give that a try.-Kevin

Hi Randy -Your suggestion didn't solve my problem for some reason. I didn't have the FMCWPNAVDATA directory, so I created it like you said. I extracted the Airac files there and reloaded the sim. Still showing "NO NavData" in FMC.Thanks for your continued help :-)-Kevin

Similar problem...Well, I bought the 737 and started going through the Tutorial/ When I reached page25 and entered KSTL I got my first error. The FMC displayed below LSK 6L "KSTL err: 35 rwy unknown". Subsuqently none of the SID data is there. I check and the SID DATA BASE appears to be okay because the STAR data for KCLT is fine. KSTL, however, is empty. Any clue? Thanks!> The Airac has nothing whatsoever to do with sidsstars. This>means that you do not have the Airac installed correctly. It should look just like this EXACTLY, no other files or folders whatsoever when you open NAVDATA.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/38374.jpg Sid & Stars are not located in this folder, they belong here:C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9PMDGSIDSTARS [h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Randy,Thanks for the reply! I double checked my files and they look just as you describe with the exeception of an additional txt file from the Navdata update author! I deleted that file. Now what?

I suggest you download the navdata used for the tutorial from AVSIM - if you do a search on PMDG TUTORIAL you'll find it.The issue is caused by extra runways in the KSTL SID/STARS file that aren't matched in the NavData.

Hi Randy -Thanks for the info. However, I do not have any of those files that you posted in the above message.. I do have them for FS2002, but not for FS9... Any thoughts? Should I just copy those files from FS2002 and put them in that directory on FS9? Should these files have been installed from FS9 in the first place? Thanks again,Kevin
