Autothrottle not working

Featured Replies

I'm trying to go through the Tim Metzinger tutorial (Thanks Tim!) and I'm stuck on takeoff.Everything has gone well so far, expect when I "Armed the Autothrottle" on Page 36 Before taxiing. When it was armed, I couldn't use the Joystick to throttle up.I'm now sitting on the End of runway 24, Autothrottle is ON, Speed is set, but Aircraft is at Idle. How do I kick in the Autothrottle? I can takeoff manually, then hit the autothrottle, but when I do that, the engines spool down and I crash. How do I solve this? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Guess I needed to read it completly before replying ;). So you are saying that you cannot set TO thrust after turning on the A/T switch? [h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Yes that is correct, Engaging A/T does not seem to control the throttle. If you have a few minutes, I'd appreciate contacting me on MSN Messenger if you have it? "[email protected]" If not, that's ok.Thank you for your help.

I'd just like to THANK Randy Smith for his 1 on 1 help in solving this problem for me. Turns out I somehow had a corrupt Installation of the aircraft. Once I used the removal tool, and re-installed, Everything worked great. (Now the NavData/Stars are another matter)Thanks Randy.
