FSBuild, Radar Contact, Flight Plans - Now what?

Featured Replies

I was reading some of the posts on how to build a flight plan and load in the FMC. I use Radar Contact and someone said you can use FSBuild to create your flight plan to use in both the FMC of the 737 and Radar Contact. I guess here is where I need the help.I downloaded the shareware version of FSBuild and noticed there are already flight plans installed. I find Nashville to Tampa, highlight, and the build route. What do I do from here? Is there a way to send this flight plan to Radar Contact and the FMC?Oh, I am using the 737-700 for FS9.Thanks for any help. Denny OMurfreesboro, TN

This works with FS Navigator:Build the flight plan.Save the flight plan. Export the flight plan to MSFS 2004 using the export command.Convert the route from .pln to .rte using the nifty little converstion tool available here at AVSIM (do a search here and the author's name will lead you right to it). I don't have it right now because I'm at work. Move the new .rte file into the flight plan file inside the PMDG file in your FS9 directory. Load up the flight plan using the company route line on the FMC.Works like a charm.

Hi Denny,When you open up FSBuild,V1.4.3, above the box with the stored flight plans, is an FSBuild Options box. Click the button, and it lets you configure the path to both FS9 and Radar Contact. Browse to the paths of the program then save the config. On the 1st page of FSBuild, I have to check the small white boxes on the left of the page to Radar Contact, PMDG 737NG. Then when you build the plan, FSBuild will automatically make the correct flight plans for RC the 737 and it is supposed to work with FS9 also, but I am having problems with those particular flight plans (for FS9), so just build those within the sim's flight planner.Hope this helps.Regards,Brad StreeterKKLS

I think I may see my first problem. I have version 1.4.0 and I did not see FS9 but I did see Radar Contact. It also did not have PMDG 737NG just the ones for FLY!.Thanks for your help.Denny O
