October 1, 200322 yr Greetings,I currently working on an Aer Lingus version of the -700. Things are progressing well, and I should be in a position to post something next week.My query is, is there a tool available (preferably freeware) that I can use to view my progress, without having to fire up FS9 each time to look at the finished work.Kind regards,Niall O'Reilly
October 1, 200322 yr Hi Niall, the only tool I know of, is Gmax, and to view the model in that, you will need the source code. The only other way, is to load FS while you are painting, and change planes after you edit so it refreshes.Regards,Bob JonesPrecision Manuals Development [email protected]
October 2, 200322 yr Well, that's the way I do it, but you don't have to change the plane. In the key assignments there is a function to reload the aircraft. I don't know how it is called in the english version, but I assigned ctrl-shift-R and it works.Greetings from LOWWThomas
October 3, 200322 yr Thomas,Thanks for the information on key assignments, I was not aware of it, I'll give it a try over the weekend.Bob, I downloaded and registered GMAX, and the tutorials. Maybe I'll leave that for the next repaint, it look's quite daunting!!Thanks again,Niall O'Reilly
October 4, 200322 yr You might try FS Painter by Abacus. It's payware - but it's good payware.Best,Bill
October 7, 200322 yr Bill,I'll check it out. Our club PC Pilots of Ireland (http://www.pcpilotsireland.com) are holding a flyin on October 18th. There are a few experienced painters and designers in the ranks who might be able to show me what FS Painter looks like.I'm almost at the stage where I can push my Aer Lingus 737-500 (they never had 700's) out of the paint shop. And I'll put up a post hopefully tomorrow.Kind regards,Niall O'Reilly
