I tried posting this earlier but I do not know what happened.Basically I am in the process of constructing a SID/STAR file for LIPZ (Venice Tessera). It is the first time that I am doing this so of course I got errors initially, which I was able to solve given time. I have now come up on a stumbling block. Below is the section relating to SIDS. The first SID, VIC5A, works fine. VIC6A has been giving me grief for the last 12 hours. The SID displays the correct path when in plan view until it gets to the point where, after turning to intercept the 023 radial inbound to CHI you have to maintain the hdg until 20 dme inbound CHI. For some reason the SID seems to think that CHI is over 2000 miles away (no doubt somewhere near Chicago?). Even with the FIX statement defining CHI as not too far south of the airport it still thinks CHI is over 2000 miles away. In order to stop the aircraft turning early i changed CHI20 to CHI21 (i.e. 21 dme from CHI) I then did "KEEP HDG UNTIL 1 FROM FIX CHI21". A hack yes I know but the only way I could think of getting it to work, if anyone knows of another way then I am all ears.Aaron-oOo-
