October 25, 200322 yr Hi, I would like to know if I can get KSLC and KABQ into the FMC. KABQ doesn't even list as a valid entry and KSLC is missing the runways, error 36 I believe. I have the latest AIRAC 0310 installed but never have been able to get those two airports. Since I mainly fly from KPHX, those two are important short routes for me. I've been pretty resticted to KLAS for short trips. Any ideas why or how to fix this? Also, can the logo lights be turned off in 2002 or FS9? I know the switch doesn't do anything in 2002 so does that mean I can't turn it off permanently since most carriers here never use them? October 25, 200322 yr Hi Chris, Gee, I just entered a flightplan into the FMC using R16L at KSLC and R29 at KOAK. Had no problem. Am using AIRAC 310. I used FS2002 this time but haven't tried it in FS2004 yet. (I prefer FS2002.) In any case both my FS2002 and FS2004 has the same PMDG database files so it should also work in/04. Not sure what your problem is Chris. Maybe we need additional input from you?Cheers
October 25, 200322 yr Author I'm mainly using 2002 as well. I'm not sure why it won't work, since other airports are fine. The only add-on I can think of that might be giving me trouble is the 767PIC. I think they use the same navdata, however, the PIC enters those airports just fine. - Chris Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | Intel Core i9 13900KF | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB | 64GB DDR5 SDRAM | Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling | 1TB & 2TB Samsung Gen 4 SSD | 1000 Watt Gold PSU | Windows 11 Pro | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Thrustmaster TCA Captain X Airbus | Asus ROG 38" 4k IPS Monitor (PG38UQ) Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard | Intel i7 4790k CPU | MSI GTX 970 4 GB video card | Corsair DDR3 2133 32GB SDRAM | Corsair H50 water cooler | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (2) | EVGA 1000 watt PSU - Retired

October 25, 200322 yr Hi Everyone, I too have the PIC767 installed in my FS2002 as well as the 737NG and have no problem, as I mentioned in a previous note.Regards
October 25, 200322 yr Author Well I fixed it, however, I'm not sure how. I just ended up removing the airacs and reinstalling them. Maybe they were corrupt or something.Oh well, thanks for the help!Chris - Chris Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | Intel Core i9 13900KF | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB | 64GB DDR5 SDRAM | Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling | 1TB & 2TB Samsung Gen 4 SSD | 1000 Watt Gold PSU | Windows 11 Pro | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Thrustmaster TCA Captain X Airbus | Asus ROG 38" 4k IPS Monitor (PG38UQ) Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard | Intel i7 4790k CPU | MSI GTX 970 4 GB video card | Corsair DDR3 2133 32GB SDRAM | Corsair H50 water cooler | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (2) | EVGA 1000 watt PSU - Retired
October 28, 200322 yr Well, put me in the category of it not being fixed. I have yet to program a route in the FMC where the machine gives me runways and SIDS/STARS for both airports. And I am using the most recent cycle, I have experimented with taking out the specific sids/stars. When I try to create these flight plans in the DF 734 FMC they work fine. Very frustrating.
October 28, 200322 yr I also live in Albuquerque, so I fly out and in to KABQ frequently. I have tried to update my navigation information and even to edit the sid/stars file - all with no success. The problem only seems to be caused when the FMS is trying to load the Farmington data.Ryan Jones
October 28, 200322 yr Author Do you have some runways and SID/STAR data or none at all? All I can say is make sure you have the proper AIRAC (0310) installed in the FMCWP folder. Outside of that I'm not sure what else it could be.Chris - Chris Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | Intel Core i9 13900KF | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB | 64GB DDR5 SDRAM | Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling | 1TB & 2TB Samsung Gen 4 SSD | 1000 Watt Gold PSU | Windows 11 Pro | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Thrustmaster TCA Captain X Airbus | Asus ROG 38" 4k IPS Monitor (PG38UQ) Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard | Intel i7 4790k CPU | MSI GTX 970 4 GB video card | Corsair DDR3 2133 32GB SDRAM | Corsair H50 water cooler | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (2) | EVGA 1000 watt PSU - Retired
October 28, 200322 yr Author Ryan, this is how I fixed mine per the airac thread a couple weeks back.Locate your wpNavAID.txt file (under FMCWP/NavData)Open the wpNavAID.txt file with notepadScroll down to Rattlesnake RSK VORD 36.748392-108.098900115.30H Rattlesnake is about halfway down wpNavAID.txtRight below Rattlesnake create a new line for Farmington FMN VORD with the same GPS coordinates. It should look like this:Rattlesnake RSK VORD 36.748392-108.098900115.30HFarmington FMN VORD 36.748392-108.098900115.30HSave and close the file. Now your info will show up when it looks for Farmington. Have fun,Chris - Chris Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | Intel Core i9 13900KF | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB | 64GB DDR5 SDRAM | Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling | 1TB & 2TB Samsung Gen 4 SSD | 1000 Watt Gold PSU | Windows 11 Pro | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Thrustmaster TCA Captain X Airbus | Asus ROG 38" 4k IPS Monitor (PG38UQ) Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard | Intel i7 4790k CPU | MSI GTX 970 4 GB video card | Corsair DDR3 2133 32GB SDRAM | Corsair H50 water cooler | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (2) | EVGA 1000 watt PSU - Retired
October 28, 200322 yr Hi all,I know sometimes it is easier to just write a thread and ask a question even if the same question has already been answered in previous posts. Please have a look at the following thread where the Farmington / Rattlesnake VOR issue has been discussed at length: http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...20794&mode=full.For those of you who are unaware there is a very useful search function on this forum. Just try it and I am sure you will love it. It will save you time and the forums will not be cluttered with repetitive posts.Michael
