October 30, 200322 yr Hello to all; When the center fuel tank goes to 0 fuel the aircraft is NOT using fuel from the wings tanks. Please help.P.D.Yes I have all the fuel punps on.
October 30, 200322 yr PD,This is known bug and has been fixed by the PMDG team in the upcoming SU2 patach. The workaround for now is to monitor your center wing tank and when it reaches 1000 pounds or less of fuel, turn off the center wing pumps. My method on this subject is once reaching cruise altitude, I figure the fuel burn rate and then calculate how long the center wing tanks will burn fuel until reaching 1K pounds. I note the time on my flight plan and then turn them off at that time. A little clunky, but it works just fine, unless I start running my mouth with my family and then forget :-) which has resulted in a engine flameout and the Radar Contact controller yelling at me for busting my altitude. Doing an airstart while floating with no power is a stomach churning experience. :-)Bob Johnson
