Framerates with new 737?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know how the new 737 impacts on FS04 framerates? I am thinking of getting it and now average about 15-20 fps. My system is a P4 2.8, 1gig ram, with a NVIDIA GF4 4600G card. Thanks, Tom

I have a similar system and run the 737NG with virtual cockpit and cabin, add-on scenery and full AI traffic just fine. I can't give you any exact numbers, but the fps are good enough that everything is smooth. That's all I need to fly. ;)Cheers!

I have a slightly less powerful Athlon system, and I find the FPS are just fine with moderate amounts of slider action(mostly to the right)

I just purchased a new processor XP2400 and an Nvidia GF4 Ti4200 and my framerates with sliders primarily to the right are around 20-24 fps. I have not flown in the VC so I cannot speak to those.Mike MKDFW

Tom,I run a 2.8C also (overclocked to 3080Mhz since a few days now :-walksmile), 1GB RAM and an ATI Radeon 9800Pro 128MB. I have all sliders maximum except clouds which I now set at 80% 3D.Everything is very smooth, I have framerates locked to 30 and in the 2D cockpit they hardly ever go below that. In VC it mainly depends (is my experience) on your cloud settings. Many 3D clouds will bring your framerates down, but they usually will stay in the mid-high teens.Spot plane, same thing. Clouds are the main factor affecting framerates. So from my experience you should do very well with your setup....Hope this helps.Johan
