November 4, 200322 yr I've just installed the latest nVid 52.16, or whatever the number is, on my machine - a P2.8, Gainward Ti4600, 1 gig ram, OS XP Home. Apart from one or two fairly marginal improvements, I got myself a strange, strange problem. All is fine in daytime flight but when it gets dark and I need the cockpit lights, my mouse cursor goes berserk. It kind of pulses and flickers between cursor arrow shape and the hourglass symbol. It still works but is the devil to control. This is so wierd - don't suppose anyone else has had this experience?Bud
November 4, 200322 yr Hi Bud,I've had this problem when undocking and moving the overhead to a second monitor. Also with 52.16 drivers but with a FX5600 Ultra card.I don't have a clue though, as to what could initiate the problem. Have you found any way to work around it? I've seen that moving another panel to my second monitor before the overhead seems to cure this problem. Very weird! Also when I get this flickering state. The panel doesn't seem to update even if the functions are all there i.e. if I turn on the taxi lights, the switch does not move but the lights go on.Regards, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
November 4, 200322 yr Hi Mats,Not good for you I know, but in a way its quite nice to know I'm not the only one with this. You are right about the fact that the panel doesn't seem to update in this state - it's a very strange state of affairs. I haven't found any way around it. I need to start a flight with all the panels in specific places on my monitors because I use Key2Mouse for most of the functions. This tends to limit experimentation.Since FS9 appeared, as a multi monitor user, I seem to have spent most of my time fiddling around with the system trying to make things work, and to be honest, I'm getting a bit fed up with it all.Good luckBud
