LAT/LONG waypoints

Featured Replies

I have searched the forum but didnt find an answer. I want to enter several user defined waypoints, e.g. N53,4 W11,6 to fly real North Atlantic Tracks. How can I punsh those into the FMC?David P.

Hi David,The NAT reporting points should be in your database. But if you would like to create your own ALT/LON-waypoints, try this:- First be sure you have the lat and lon in degrees, minute, seconds format i.e N53

Hi David and MatsMats gave you the answer with the two critical constraints: custom waypoints can only be entered in the LEG page and the foramt is limited to 13 characters. One could resume the format to: LDDMMMlDDDMMM whereby L stands for LAT ie. N or S and l stands for LONG ie. w or E.I vaguely remember the issue of entering custom waypoints in the ROUTE page being discussed as one of the SU2 possible improvements. If you want to learn more about it, make a search with the keywords "custom waypoint" or even "longitude" and you will get several posts related to that issue.Michael

Thank you for the quick replies. I think that will do it!David P.
