Hi all,When i fly in vnav and lnav mode i just follow the programmed FMC route. BUT when an ATC tells me to go DIRECT to a waypoint further upon the route, how can i do that? do i have to switch to hdg? or can i program that in the FMC?Has someone got a clue about this?thnx in advance.Best regards,Alex Alblas

Just ENTER the waypoint into the scratchpad and select 1 Left LSK (Line select key) and hit EXECU. If it's already on your route, just LSK next to the waypoint (on the left side key) and it will put it into the scratchpad for you (saves you typing time). This will create a direct course from your PPOS to the new waypoint. All inbeween waypoints will be removed from your route. Cheers,[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. thank you very much randy.another lesson learned :-beerchug best regards,Alex Alblas :-wave

Pretty simple. Say you're flying towards OMN, navigating through the FMC of course. And ATC calls up and says N8237T proceed direct Craig 115.10 when able. Now the FMC doesn't have DIR/TO enabled and you can't delete the primary waypoint, what do u do? Easy enough, in the FMC just type up CRJ and line select line 1 that will place CRJ as primary and OMN as secondary, which now u can delete cause you won't delete. You'll just have to select your 3rd waypoint moving it upwards to the secondary slot. Hope this helps. Kevin...SAL_349[ZTL]
