November 9, 200322 yr I had a HD failure last week and had to reformat my HD and reinstall Windows XP.I reinstalled my FS2004 and have gotten new links for all my add-on aircraft in 3 hrs from Capt Sim and 1 day from Aerosoft.I was wondering why I have to wait for 2 weeks from PMDG? I sent in my licence number and order number,I was hoping to get at least 1-2 day reply.I fly the 737 the most and was just wondering why the long wait for a replacement? JeffG
November 9, 200322 yr Not sure why Jeff but why would you not backup your files on a cd? Of course this would not be possible without owning a cd burner. I partitioned my C drive and keep backup stuff on it and have lost windows but lucky for me the backup came in handy....[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. November 9, 200322 yr I have installed a d:drive today and have backed up all my files.I am just waiting now for PMDG to come through and I will be able to back the 737 up also. JeffG
November 10, 200322 yr I have backed up the pmdg 737ng files to a cd-rom. I had changed my motherboard and HDD's 3 weeks ago, and my cpu last week.I used my back-up files to reload the 737. No problems.There is no need to request a new Key if you can back-up the files.Mal George

November 10, 200322 yr I would like to know why you have to wait 2 weeks also?I recently reformatted my hard drive- didn't back up the 737. Reinstallation took less than 30 minutes. So why do you have to wait 2 weeks?Aaron-oOo-
November 10, 200322 yr I lost everything on my HD and now trying to get the files back,I emailed them on Tuesday of last week with the information I had from my email which I printed out when I got the installer file. I lost all my email and files and need the installer file again to load the 3 files and 1st upgrade.The PMDG web site says you have to wait up to 2 weeks for replacement files plus have to pay a fee to get it.I don't mind the fee but I would like to get a reply as tomorrow will be 1 week.I have everything back up and running with all my add-ons except PMDG'737 JeffG
November 10, 200322 yr Similar situation to you, my hard disk crashed, only I had no record of order numberI e-mailed PMDG with date of order and they reset the download link and sent me an e-mail with this link in it within a matter of hours.So they definately don't make you wait two weeks!Best regardsJulian Evans
