November 14, 200322 yr All,I have owned Dreamfleets 737 in the past and enjoyed the wing view and FMC. How does this product stack up?Is it worth it?Tim
November 14, 200322 yr I was going to ask sort of the same thing. Thinking about purchasing, should I wait for the SU-2 release?
November 14, 200322 yr Sorry but direct comparisons cause nothing but bed feelings. That being said, this aircraft perhaps has the most realistic flight model ever made for flight simulator (SU2), the FMC has more features and unique features not before seen in ANY add-on. In fact, there are a few *new* items that will set a standard (things that were said could not be done). We also have wing views for SU2. What comes to mind for your question is "Can't touch this" ;)Cheers, [h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smithhttp://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-5/196432/winglets_lg.jpg Randy J Smith
November 14, 200322 yr Randy,Thank you.I just got it and can't beleive there isn't a wing view or cabin view without having to BUY another product in ActiveSky.Do you think Service Pack 2 will have both wing but also cabin view.Tim
November 14, 200322 yr I have little hesitation is saying "BUY IT" now.As a former, dedicated DF737-400 pilot, I believe that the PDMG product is far superior. The only thing about the DF737 I miss are the large, easy to read guages (i.e. duct temp, cabin pressure etc)on the overehead panel & the crew announcements. However, those are small potatoes in comparison to the 737 NG whose main panel graphics & flight dynamics (the autoland actually works on this plane unlike the unwanted nose-diving the DF does when it captures the glide slopeare)are far superior. The only issue I have is that VNAV is a little quirky (especially on descents) but I understand that will be addressed in SU2. However, even with VNAV the way it is now, the plane is still a joy to fly.Mark ErinaWJA136Virtual Westjest Airlines
November 15, 200322 yr Tim, We have WING VIEWS for the 2D panel AND Virtual cockpit in SU2 without the need for Active Camera although for Cabin views (sorry I do not use these) for FS9 you will need Active Camera although for FS2002 there is a freeware version to roam the cabin. SU2 is in it's final stages, if all goes well we should be seeing it very soon. [h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smithhttp://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-5/196432/winglets_lg.jpg Randy J Smith
November 15, 200322 yr Hey Randy!I must admit that I cannot wait till PMDG release their SU2, then I can finally get round to buying what looks like an extraordinary product, but can you tell us some of the new and unique features that the PMDG 737NG will have ?Paul
November 15, 200322 yr There are over 400 changes that extend throughout the whole aircraft. There are a couple of items that are flight simulator *firsts* but would rather let Mr Robert Randazzo explain and annouce these. He will be posting an anchored post soon detailing the changes etc, like I have stated already, if everything stays on course it won't be very long ;)[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J.
