i noticed that after i have flown for about 1hr, the autopilot freezes in all the models. i have to manually fly the airplane down from then until it decides to work again. if you click it then nothing happens. any suggestions?regardslyle

well lets say i am at fl350 and the lnav , alt hold, spd is on, and i decide that i want to fly with the heading button and not lnav, when i press the heading button, the light does not show on it and the airplane does not respond. lets say i want to descend and press the v/s button, then no light goes on the button and the airplane once again does not respond. so basically the autopilot does not work and i have to manually fly the plane down from let say fl350 and all of a sudden the autopilot kicks in and starts working again. same goes for the spd button. hope this helps and sorry for the long tedious explanationregardslyle

Lyle,1) Bad joke : you shouldn't fly that high because it gets REALLY COLD, and the AP will freeze :-)2) What panel where you using ?3) Did you close the "dummy main view" to get better FPS ? Edit : as a user wrongly suggested in the forum...4) If you are in alt hold and did not reset your mcp alt, then the VS is inhibited and it's normal it has no effect. I.e select RWY 20 and not GELLE3 20.Also if you decide to do touch and goes, as opposed to completing the flight, I get an FMS message to the effect that

it happens witha all the panels. what do you mean by resetting the mcp alt. regardslyle
