November 19, 200322 yr Sirs,I know SU2 is very close now and I know this is very late in the day but could you add a "windshear, windshear" call, if not already done? I know sometimes in FS2004 the winds can be blowing at 30knots then drop to almost nothing causing a loss in IAS and increase in sink rate. A "Windshear!" call at some point along the ILS would just add to the ambiance of the virtual cockpit, in my opinion, or is this not realistic modelling of windshear?Cheers,Paul
November 19, 200322 yr Hello Paul,Actually, I wouldn't want this to be implemented unless there was a switch to turn it on/off. Here's why:Sometimes at high altitudes when cruising, I get very strong windshear and the plane is yawing like mad (despite the yaw damper). I wouldn't want to hear "windshear, windshear" all that time, it would just start to get on my nerves. :)
November 19, 200322 yr I stand to be corrected here, but I don't believe that FS9 models windshear. I too have experienced the wild wind shifts that take place in FS, however, I believe this is attributed to FS9 "blending" the weather from several reporting stations.I for one would be very disappointed to see SU2 delayed in order to add this or any other additional features.
