November 22, 200322 yr Well, this may be a tad like asking the wolf how he likes the new hen-house that has really big doors, but here goes anyway :-hah.My VA is interested in upgrading their fleet from 737-200's to add a few more modern machines, and the 737NG is definitely in the running. From the posts I've been reading here, I'm very impressed by the customer support and high quality of the posters here in terms of offering help to others and being knowledgeable themselves. So, my question is rather basic - is the PMDG 737 a good buy? I know that depends somewhat on the purchaser, but I am a former RW pilot (not of jets though), and am a RW Avionics Tech now, so I'm not afraid of the systems this airplane presents. I do operate a lot from 6000 foot strips, often in really ugly weather (northern maritime climate) on a coastal area, so I need a machine that can handle that sort of thing with relative ease.Anyway, I also know Robert Randazzo's name from waaaay back (sorry Robert ;-) ) and trust very much in his abilities and willingness to fix bugs, so that too is part of my interest in this airplane. However, I would very much like feedback from actual customers on their impressions of this machine. I have a high-end computer and peripherals, which I assume matters in terms of the "simulator" experience.Thank you in advance for any assistance.Best regards,Glenn
November 22, 200322 yr I don't have the must unbiased opinion(*g*), but I would like to comment that from what I know from beta discussions and reading this forum, you are absolutely right: PMDG is willing to be forthcoming with problems in there product, and they are willing to go the extra mile to ensure that what they manufacturor is an A+ product.I won't answer the quesion of is the NG a good buy, because being a beta tester my opinion would be very biased. So I will let others comment.
November 22, 200322 yr Thank you very much gentlemen. The pennies are being saved, and I'll be contacting you once SU2 is out. Thanks again for your time.Glenn
