November 23, 200322 yr Can anyone check this out for me. I use CH yoke with one of the buttons mapped to the brakes on the yoke. I notice that using the landing view panel during short approach and landing that the manual brakes do not seem to work to help stop or slow on the runway. It is only after I switch to the main panel and then back again can I get them to work. At first I thought it was some conflict with the AT and autobrake system but I have run several landings with these items in various configurations. Tonight I made a short flight and used non of the autoflight or autobraking stuff (to form a baseline so to speak), but the same thing happend.I am going to go back and toggle on my brake message again to see if it actually if activating and try using the actual MS brake key and see what I get. I have no problems in the mainview no do I have it in any other view durning any other phase of ground ops. This only happens during the transition from flight to landing.I have not tried this in any of the other panel views (or no panel for that matter) nor in the VC flightdeck. I have also noticed that when the autobrake is used, it does not toggle off when I manually apply the brakes (may not in the real thing - dont know).Anyways, just curious how your braking works using stick/yoke mapped brakes in some of the other panels while stopping on the runway after landing.
