Ok I posted A while back my new computer specs, I have changed a thing or two and was just wanting to get your input on the matter. Please click on the link to get the FULL details....http://secure.newegg.com/app/WishR.asp?ID=494876Your Input is greatly appreciated,

Hi,Looks good, but are they assembling it or are you doing it yourself? I ask because adding thermal grease can be a tricky deal and if done wrong have the potential to fry your CPU.I have the same case, well without the window and in grey, but it's a very nice case. Two things, do you really need the sata harddrive, last time I checked you pay a lot for some harddrives that aren't that much better. Do you really need the 3.2GHz? You pay a big premium for the latest and greatest which in 2-3 months will be replaced with something faster, why not buy the 3.0 and then just clock it to 3.2 if you feel you need the extra power, you save big bucks this way.Mikkel

I just put together a 2.6Ghz HT 800Mhz machine and it works wonderfully with the 737... very smooth (and with only 512 of PC3200). I bought an MSI Neo2-FIS2R Mobo which, IMO, is absolutely fantastic. I overclocked my CPU with the retail heatsink to 2.8 Ghz with no problem and up to 3.0Ghz with a slight increase in temp. The 2.6ghz retail processor is around 175 bucks at newegg. Just food for thought... I would spend a little more on a good MoBo and a lot less on a slightly slower processor.Good Luck!Jeff

I totally agree, in fact I did the exact same as you and bought the 2.6 and clocked it to 2.8, thus saving me a bundle for not buying the state of the art CPU at the time.

I am building it myself. The only Reason I got the 3.2 ghz is I don't have the slightest Idea on how to overclock. Also on the thermal paste, I was told I HAD to have it, But if I don't need it I wont buy it. If you have an Idea on a REALY good Mobo, tell me. I will look up the one you guys aleady told me about.Thanks.

Hi Jeff,Nice to see someone with the same mobo as I've just recently bought. I can vouch for this mobo as well, as it was relatively cheap and got good awards at www.tomshardware.com Would you care to tell me what measures you took to overclock your CPU? What voltages and values you set and so on as I'm interested in getting my 2,8 up a notch! Thanks in advance,

Hi David, overclocking is easier than you think, but you still need to read up on it if you want to maximize your results and not damage anything. As far as thermal pastes go, if you have no intention on o/c'ing and are using the stock HSF you should be ok with what intel supplies, but, if you do plan on o/c'ing then Thermal paste (artic silver 3 or 5) is a must and even though some people do well with the stock HSF I would get an aftermarket one (I use the slk-900u). I think you could do a bit better on the mobo (I like the asus p4p800) Go to this link and read/ask questions:http://forum.oc-forums.com/vb/index.phpLike a couple others have mentioned, o/c'ing is a great way to get performance for value. Good luck and most of all have fun!

Ok The only thing I need to know is On the P4P800 mobo and the NEO2-FIS2R mobo, in the bios can you disable the audio? As far as O/Cing goes, I wasn't really planing on it. The way I look at it, upgrading from a P3 450 Hrz with 256 Ram to a P4 3.0 Ghz and 1 gig of Ram is a Huge leap, at least for me. So I will probly be happy with the performance that I get from it.

I know for a fact that you can disable the onboard sound on the NEO2-FIS2R, and I am almost positive that you can on the ASUS as well. The first several days I did not overclock my 2.6Ghz processor, and my results in FS9 were fantastic. I don't use AI traffic, but I do fly online. The VC is absolutely smooth...my only problem was that it was sometime slow to load textures in switching between views. This, I am sure, is due to my 512MB of ram instead of your 1024MB.Let me know if you have any other questions!Jeff

Ok Thanks! I am going to order all but my processor next month then my processor the month after. I am excited about a new puter! Anyway, Looks like the SU2 is fixing to come out! I just looked at there home page he he.So like it is going to come out.. "Soon"!!!!!
