December 6, 200322 yr I am planning on getting the 737 NG soon and have a P4 2.8 with 1 gig ram and an average of about 15 - 20 fps with FS2004. How is the 737 on framerates? (I have Ultimate Traffic and have traffic set to about 50%.) Thanks. Tom G.
December 6, 200322 yr Shouldn't be any problems....I have a P4 2,26Ghz and 1 gig ram and the NG is running fine.I think I have locked at 20fps.Johnny"I'LL BE BACK"[div align=center]http://www.avsim.com/hangar/fly/josve/zone.jpg ][/div
December 6, 200322 yr See now this right here is making me excited about geting my new PC. I have NO Traffic :0( and the 3d clouds OFF (Bummer eh) and I get a good WHopping, 10-12 FPS! WOW Thats great huh..... NOT! I what is wird about the NG on my PC is, the outside view I get normal FR, but as soon as I go into 2d view it drops down to 4... it sucks! All I have to say is Thank you Verry much PMDG, You have gavin me the push i needed to get my pc! and until I get my new pc, I am going to have to park the baby! it is still fun to watch people who say's flying is easy try and start the plane!
December 6, 200322 yr I don't experience lower framerates with the 737NG. However, I am disappointed with my FS9 framerates overall. I have the lock set at 25 fps. Normally my system maintains this limit. However, anytime I go near any weather, my rates dip down to as low as 8 fps. Ouch! Below is my hardware setup. Please let me know if these framerates seem right (considering my hardware).Windows XP HomeAMD XP 1800+ (1.53mhz) CPU266mhz FSB speed512MB DDR RAM (333mhz)60 gig WD hard drive (2MB buffer)FX5200 video card (128mb DDR RAM)All sliders are generally set in the medium/low region.Kenny Rogers
December 6, 200322 yr Hi,just so you can compare, I have my fps locked at 20 and the 737 runs at that all the time, 2D/3D.If I set the FPS to unlimited, I get around 25-30, but found that locking it at 20 gives a smoother sim overall.Clouds are 3D, but sliders more to the left then to the right ;)Ultimate traffic at 85% and aircraft shadows off.Hope you like the plane! (I know you will...)Take care,
