December 8, 200322 yr I am just letting every owner of the 737 NG that I am going to soon release a new airline paint. Hapag-Lloyd. Don't ask me how to pronounce that.... anyway I thought it was a pretty paint job so I did my Real First aircaft paint job. I will post some pics of the real one and the one I have done. I need to tweak some thngs here and ther but it all should be done sometime within the next two weeks. Also with this, for all of you VC pilots.. I have also repainted the inside acording to photos taken from a real 737 Hapag-Lloyd cockpit. Like I said look for posts of the paint job soon. And PLEASE remember this is my first attempt, so it more then likley will not be perfect...
December 8, 200322 yr David,FYI, there is a Hapag-Lloyd available from the PMDG download page done by our own, Bob Jones. You are welcome to paint another Hapag-Lloyd, I just wanted to alert you the version currently available and maybe use another reg number. http://www.precision...GX_Dev_Team.jpg PMDG Graphic Designer
December 8, 200322 yr ok cool sounds good. I wanted to do that livery cause it looked simple.... I didn't want to try something over my head!I shall go look at it and then repost.
December 8, 200322 yr Pete,as far as I can see you got a 'Hapag Lloyd Express' for download only. The 'non-Express' paint scheme of 'Hapag Lloyd' looks completely different.Take a look at this shot for example:http://www.airliners.net/open.file?id=4656...atic=yes&size=L( hope this link to airliners.net isn't screwed up :-) )I would be quite happy to see the 'Hapag Lloyd' scheme !
December 8, 200322 yr I forgot to mention that it was a 737-800 but until that comes out it is going to be a 700.... The only thing I would like to know is this, I have looked at many 700 and 800 and as far as the appearance of the aircraft I can not tell a differance, so I guess that means the inside and the flight control is differant.
December 8, 200322 yr David, actually the 'inside' should be quite identical. The 800 is just a little longer then the 700.Try counting the windows - there should be a difference :-)Wish you all the best with the Hapag-Lloyd. Can't wait to fly it - I love the blue scheme.
December 8, 200322 yr Oh,For Saturday Night Live Fans, from back in the day,"Oh then, Never mind" http://www.precision...GX_Dev_Team.jpg PMDG Graphic Designer
December 8, 200322 yr Ok As promised here are the screen shots. I am just about finished.I didn't know painting a plane could be so much fun. I have tried my hand at Terrain mesh... Gave me a head ache.... Painting on the other hand now thats fun!!!! Anyway to the shots...__________
December 8, 200322 yr Hi David, nice paint, looks cool on the 700...just two things tho, can you tone down the alpha shine, also you seem to be missing the fuselage seams/cargo door outlines.Regards,Bob [email protected]http://www.solentairvirtual.co.uk/images/santa_1.gif
December 8, 200322 yr I am planing to add the cargo door outlines as one of the last moment things, as for the fuselage seams I wasn't planing on adding them as even though they are probly ther in all the photos I have seen, you can not see the fuesalage seams. Also It dosn't look verry good on this paint job. *****see the links below*******http://www.planepictures.net/netshow.cgi?157244http://www.planepictures.net/netshow.cgi?157835Here is the actual plane I am doing. I am planning on adding the other white window border also.http://www.planepictures.net/netshow.cgi?157835http://www.planepictures.net/netshow.cgi?140816
