Insufficent Fuel...

Featured Replies

This is my first problem with the 737. I am currently in flight from ATL-BOS AirTran style. No matter how much fuel I load, the FMC comes back the the Insufficent Fule error. I thought this strange b/c I've never had this problem before. Could it be the AirTran livery? b/c this is the first flight I've done with it. That's all I can think of! Thanks for a great aircraft! I'm sure you don't hear that enough.

Tim,unfortunately this is a known bug with the 737, and has been present since it was released. Now the good news - the SOON to be released SU2 apparently has a fix for this issue included in it. Hopefully PMDG will be releasing this before XMAS.

After further review of my FMC it seems that either me (more likely) or the FMC saw an entry wrong. It had me flying to the Flat Rock VOR the south somewhere south of DFW then BACK to the RBV VOR which is just south of JFK. Total trip: 4300 miles! no wonder I didn't have enough fuel!! hahahaha. Egg's on my face this time!:-doh

Hehe yes, in SU2 (not sure about SU1-1) the fix-waypoints are listed by distance from your PPOS ;) like it is on the real FMC. There was *some* occassions of this message for reasons other than what you just found, but as Tim stated, there is no longer any reasons for this message other than warrented reasons for SU2...[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J.
