Noticed this twice:Change DES Restriction from 240/FL100 to 250/FL100.Starting Descent, instead of mainting the target descent speed of 284/M0.771 the aircraft throttles back to 250 KIAS and descends at this speed all the way down.What am I doing wrong here?

Good question Mark, in reality the FMC should ignore the TARGET speed while in a PATH DESCent, only in a SPEED DESCent should the target be maintained although in either DESCent mode the FMC will slow for the AIRPORT RESTRICTION (240/10000) then resume desent.
