when I set the FMC speed to VREF before landing it do not show up on the PFD.

To have the VREF show on the PFD you have to move the bug knob next to the Autobrakes knob. Select VREF and you'll see it show up on the PFD. Regards,Bjorn

Bjorn, that's only as a backup, if your FMC (or FMCs) have ceased functioning!
