Question About Probe Heat

Recommended Posts

Guest jase439

Does probe heat really work or does it need the SHIFT+H treatment? I've been running into icing conditions through clouds which is causing the airspeed indicator to blitz out even with probe heat on.ThanksJason Barlow

I found my answer on the derate and came up with the same answer (I'm still overcoming my PIC'isms) :) Thank you for your help on this though. The probe heat thing is still puzzling. I have random icing and turbulence turned on in FSUIPC - which I can turn off if it's a problem (at the expense of realism). I would think probe heat would prevent the freeze up on the A/S indicator.J
