Using Slew Mode

Recommended Posts

I have been practicing with the 737 and tried to set up an approach using slew. Everytime I turn on slew and then return to normal flight my engines go out, the panel lights up with all warnings, and I can't seem to restart anything. I end up trying a deadstick landing. What's wrong? Thanks. tom

I'm having this problem as well. Though the engines can be started again it makes for an interesting moment on vatsim...It seems to happen occasionally when I close the throttles on descent.I'll try a re-install after the new years party tonight :)__Josh

I only recently discovered that in map view you can actually "drag and drop" the aircraft and, if necessary, you can even adjust altitude, heading and speed. Used that a couple of times on the PMDG737 and there are no problems with the engines.Maybe you could try that?Leo Bakker

Just wanted to update this for ya. It turned out that there was some wierd setting in my saved flight that I was using at startup. I went and created a new flight and have not had this problem again.Happy new year all!__Josh

Josh, What configuration was your aircraft in when you saved? - I mean was it at the end of the runway ready for takeoff, in flight, etc. I will try that map view idea as well. Thanks guys. Regards, Tom
