January 30, 200422 yr Hi,Out of curiosity.Do NGs have this? I know 737-300/400/500 Do. It's a Yellowish pitch limit indicator displayed when flaps are not up. It indicates when the stick shaker activation will kick out for the existing flight condition. Not to exed unless you want to stall ;)...Thanks!Bruno Francescoli.
January 30, 200422 yr And any idea if this will be included in the 744 package? Thanks in advance,Bruno Francescoli.
January 30, 200422 yr Thank you Iz! By the way, that is the PLI?PMDG: Will the Pitch Limit Indicator be displayed in the 800/900 series?Bruno Francescoli.
January 31, 200422 yr Hehe Thanks John, I though About it but I was like No he has to be refering to another thing.Bruno Francescoli.
January 31, 200422 yr "Newer aircraft also display the PLI at slow speeds."Or, perhaps more correctly, when the flaps are up, the PLI appears if the aircraft gets to the stall speed. You can stall at quite high speeds (if you are doing silly things with your aircraft). ;-)Cheers.Ian.
January 31, 200422 yr You may be correct, Ian, it only says "slow speed with flaps up" in my systems manual. You can indeed stall the aircraft at very high speeds, just flick it into a 80 degree bank at 300 knots and you'll stall it. Which is a good thing, otherwise you'd tear off the wings :)
