737 NG Approach Chart displayed in VC

Featured Replies

Any ideas how to change the displayed approach chart in the Virtual Cockpit to one of your choice? I've just changed my version to 1.3 and can't find the instructions anywhere. Apparently you can do it.:-jumpy

Matthew, yes, you can do it :)You will need image tool (or a similar BMP conversion program) and an image editing program.1. Go into the texture folder of the PMDG 737NG livery of your choice.2. Using Imagetool, open the file pmdg_plate_t.bmp3. Using Imagetool, convert this file to 32 bit (image>format>32-bit)4. Save the file to a TEMPORARY directory as a Targa (TGA)5. Navigate to the temporary directory, and open the saved targa using your image editing software of choice.6. Follow instructions on right side:a. crop your approach plate you want to use to 652x1024 and paste to the left of the red line of pmdg_plate_tb. save file (line number 3 is wrong) save file as pmdg_plate_t.tga7. Using image tool, convert image to DXT3 (image>format>DXT3)8. Save as a bmp : pmdg_plate_t.bmp9. Copy and paste from your temporary folder into the PMDG 737NG Texture folder of choice. That's it!VinPMDGwww.precisionmanuals.comhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/devteam.jpg
