Sids & Stars

Featured Replies

Hi all, when entering a flight plan in the fmc and selecting the departure and arrival runways Sids and Stars are never available i.e. "None". The PMDG folder is in the root of Fs9 and the Sid/Star folder is populated. Where I am I going wrong? Thanks in advance.Bern

Hello BernSounds like the sidstars files you have are in the right place, C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9PMDGSIDSTARSWhich Airports have you tried? Are you completing the route page first?Simon

Hi Simon, thanks for the prompt responce. I've tried many airports and none work. I've checked that the ones I want exist in the sid/star folder and they do. For some reason the FMC just isn't reading the sid/Star file in the root directory. RegardsBern

Howdy Bern>FMC just isn't reading the sid/Star file in the root>directory. It may be a slip in what you said but the sids/stars are not in the root folder. They are, as pointed out already, in the /FS04/PMDG/SIDSTARS folder.RegardsTerry

Hi Terry, Thanks for the reply, yes I could have made it clearer. All of my Flight Sim files including Fs9 are on a dedicated hard drive. The PMDG folder containing the sid/star folder is in the root of the Fs9 folder i.e. G:fs9PMDGSIDSTARS. Today I,m going to uninstall using the official uninstaller, then reinstall and see how I get on. I'll let you know how it goes.Regards Bern

Hi Simon/Terry, I uninstalled and reinstalled - Sids & stars are now available. I don't understand why they weren't before but all's well that ends well. Thanks once again.regardsBern
