FS2002 -- Remembering what airport you left off at?

Is there any mechanism in FS2002 that will allow the program to place you at the airport you finished at the last time you flew?Its not a huge deal, but I would love it if the program did not alway revert to the default flight.

Change what your default flight is each time.What I do at the end of my engine shutdown routine is:ALT-F S (file->save)My Start (what I always call the default flight)TAB (switch to the "make this my default flight" checkbox)SPACE (toggle the checkbox on)ENTER (submit)ENTER (to confirm that you want to overwrite the previous "my start")That's all there is to it. Hi,You need to save the current flight as Previous Flight. Open FS2002.CFG, find the USERINTERFACE section and paste this entry over your current one: -SITUATION=FLIGHTSMYFLTSPrevious FlightI also choose to show the Opening Screen (Options / Settings / Show Opening Screen). This allows me to choose the aircraft, time of day, fuel settings and an alternative airport. This is the only place where you can change location and time without reloading of data and saves a lot of time.It also allows you to change just about anything else you need without the main simulation loading. Yes.Press the semi-colon ';' key, enter a really simple name you can remember so you can use it every time (I use 'a'), click "Set as Default Flight", press the enter key.Now every time you want to save, press the semi-colon key, press 'a', press the return key, press the return key (when it asks to overwrite).I've been doing this since FS98. I always start right where I left off. Three key clicks and really easy to remember the name.

Ray,Read my next post. It's much simpler, although yours does automatically do the same (unless FS crashes). In that case, all you need to do is to go to the menu, Select A Flight, and set the Previous Flight as the default.
