I have just purchased the cd rom box set and after a successful installation the sound goes crazy ...it distorts ... I have look for information but unable to find it ...hope someone can help

I have totaly no engine sounds. I even did a complete new install of FS9 but no luck. The weird thing is that I hear the other sounds then the engine sound like airconditioning and clickable switches.any suggestions?
