April 25, 200422 yr Hi,I'm encountering a strange problem with the 800/900 installation and I hope someone can be of assistance. After installing the new aircraft and firing up FS9, before the sim can actually start I'm bumped back to the desktop. No warning, nothing.I uninstalled the original NG (1.3 build) using the removal tool but had to manually trash the 800/900 files from the FS9 Aircraft folder.Reinstalled the original NG. The sim fires up fine, the plane flies as sweetly as I remember.Tried installing the new plane...*boom* desktop time again.Uninstalled 600/700 again, manually trashed the 800/900 files and dumped the FS9.cfg file.Installed the NG. No problems. Installed the 800/900...*boom* desktop time yet again.Ideas anyone? I'm stumped. All I can think of is, maybe, a corrupt download.Tony
April 25, 200422 yr TonyDid you by any chance have the default flight saved with the PMDG bird? This could, maybe cause this problem. Create a new default flight with only default a/c and try restarting FS...Hope it helps, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|

April 26, 200422 yr Hi again, Mats,I will give that a shot and let you know what happens. However, since I have to earn a living and it's almost 8:00am here I need to pushback and fly..:-hah Thanks for the attention and I will get back to you ASAP.Have a great day/night!Tony
April 27, 200422 yr No joy, I'm afraid, Mats. I still have the same problem evn after going through all the suggestions in the FAQ. I stopped short of re-installing FS9 however since I'd like to try to download the 800/900 again and check whether the first download was corrupt. Thanks for the help and I'll get back to you when the 2nd download is done (not before Saturday since a 64K isdn connection isn't exactly a speed demon and the PMDG servers don't support resumable downloads)Cheers,Tony
April 27, 200422 yr Tony, can you check to see if you have the below files in the Gauges folder and also check the time stamps?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/73426.jpgThanks, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
April 30, 200422 yr Hi again Mats :)I have checked the gauges folder and everything matches up except for the #4 gauge. Instead of it being PMDG_737NG_ELECTRICAL.gau.old, the file on my setup is minus the ".old"Time stamps match up as well.Still having the same problem of being dumped to the desktop.Hope you have some ideas!Tony
