AFCAD - A/C landing from different directions - help

Featured Replies

Wind was 340. 737 landing on 16 and A/C leaving on 34Is this an AFCAD Config problem or PAI. Anyone know how to fix it.I did fix the problem of A/C stopping and holding up traffic. Not sure who posted that fix but it worked.. ThanksRegardsBobG

PAI just provide the aircraft and flight plans. Your airport setup provides the takeoff/landing directions. AFCAD can make those changes. If you downloaded an AFCAD file for your airport of choice, then you need to start there. If the wind is below 10kts and the landing runway doesn't have an ILS at the correct end, landing will still occur 180deg out. You can do several things; increase the wind speed above 10kts; add a fake ILS at the other end of the runway; if you have a third runway running the same direction as the landing runway and it has an ILS, make both runways the same length. I did the last with KMCO.KMCO has three N/S runways. The two runways 36R/18L and 36L/18R only have ILS at 36R and 18R. The third runway 35/17 has ILS at both ends but is used for takeoffs only.
