Guest DARRENMAN

I just purchased your product and I'm thrilled.... Itsgreat. However, I'm having a hard time flying it. I tried doing a take off and after I rotated I tried turning on the MCP. I clicked heading select to 340 and nothing happened. I set spped to 230kts and it never go there. I even selected alt of 23,000 and I can't get there. Am I missing something or just doing all the wrong things. Please help!Darrenman

DarrenMAN? Please use you real name on our forum sir, thank you. 1] Set the V2 speed on the MCP altitude's window 2] Set the RWY heading on the MCP heading selector 3] Turn on the F/D (flight Director switch) 4] turn on the A/T (Autothrottle switch) 5] Set flaps for Takeoff 6] Manually advance the throttles to about 40% N1 after a few seconds push the TOGA button (located on the upper left corner SCREW of the MCP) 7] Push the HDG SEL button on the MCP when passing 400' 7] Climb V2 + 20 or there abouts (not slower!), at V2+15 (the WHITE BUG) retract flaps to 1 then depending on what type of departure you are on 1000' set speed to BUGS UP speed and retract flaps ENGAGE an A/P 3000' set bugs up speed and retract flaps ENGAGE an A/P If you select an A/P in TOGA mode the default PITCH mode will be LVL CH. You can also select VNAV (if programmed) and select LNAV. This is just basic stuff to get you UP, it's not saying that you can ONLY do it this way.. [h4]Best Wishes,Randy J.
