April 29, 200422 yr Firstly I must say how great the -800/-900 737NG is.Just done my best landing in a long time into EDDF in the -900, and I didn't even scrape the mightly long tail! One thing that was disapointing was that I didn't get any TCAS info on the ND display. So what am I doing wrong?I was on Vatsim through SBRelay and Squawkbox and it was all set up in the normal manner. (I also had the BAVirtual ACARS running too.) Prior to engine start I ran the TCAS test and it passed.Through my flight from EGKK there was various traffic enroute and also traffic on the ground at EDDF. I could see the traffic on the Squawkbox TCAS display, but not on the aircraft's ND TCAS display. I tried all map ranges and this didn't help. I also switched between the TCAS options for "FSUIPC" and "FS2004 internal". (I had "Set Max Displayed Aircraft" to 200, "Show all non-threataning aircraft" checked, and "Show Traffic Range Rings" unchecked".)So what am I doing wrong? Am I the only one with this problem? Thanks in advance,Phil.
April 29, 200422 yr Press the buton that says tfc in the middle of your map range selector and it should say ta while you are on the ground and TFC while you are in flight above ~1000agl make sure that after you complete your test to switch it to ta/ra. You will not see aircraft that are on the ground only those that are in the air. ________________________________________________________________________________ Jeremy 9800X3D OC'd -30 +200MHZ | 64GB CL30 RAM | RTX 5080 | Windows 11 23H2| Bravo Throttle | Alpha Yoke | CH Pedals | Logitech Radio Panel | SmoothTrack | AAO
April 29, 200422 yr Hmm.. May seem like a silly question but did you turn TCAS on? Turn it to TA/RA on your Transponder panel, and turn it on by pressing the middle of your range button?Second to that i've noticed that the TCAS doesn't have an enormous range on it. It will show aircraft that are within about 20NM of you but not much beyond that.
April 29, 200422 yr Jeremy, Scott,Thanks for the ultra prompt resonses.Yes it's a simple as that! I hadn't pressed the "TFC" button.Nice one!Time now to try another perfect landing!Cheers,Phil.
