May 4, 200422 yr Hi,I have a observationI have observed that in the B737-600/700 but also in the B737-800/900, when I go down with V/S above from 2300 ft/m , then the speed increases also dramatically. Persons which flew jumseat me said that this thing does not happen in the real planes.I would want your opinion.Thank you very much FriendlyPaul
May 4, 200422 yr "Persons which flew jumseat me said that this thing does not happen in the real planes" Well I do not know who those friends are but I would like to just ask how do they think a 737 will descend at such a rate (2300 FPM) without speeding up? 737s do not dive out of the sky and slow down at the same time! Plus it's not the throttles that are making you go fast it's gravity, simple physics ;-). If I recall A/T should go to ARM (passing set speed) so if you need to descend at such a rate you better put out the boards and maybe an anchor..[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J.
