May 5, 200422 yr Hi everyone,After reinstalling my flightsim and the 600/700 I was fine, and looking forward to a good flight over to Birmingham. However, I then installed my 800/900 (Which I had not actually yet installed even before the FS cleanout) and booted it up to see what a great job PMDG had done. I booted it up and when the flight started loading it came up with the 'has encountered a problem and needs to close' message. I tried again and again, but to no avail! What could it be? Please help me!Thanks very much.Regards,Tom
May 5, 200422 yr TomStart your flight with a default aircraft! If FS are CTDing while the scenery is loading try loading the flight with a default FS plane. When everything is loaded and you are at the airport, change to the PMDG flight.Sometimes it seems the default/saved flights are screwed up.Hope it helps, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
May 5, 200422 yr Well, it was not easy to know you already tried it! ;-)What exactly are you doing before the CTD and what is your exact default flight setup?Cheers, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
May 5, 200422 yr Yeah, sorry, I didn't mean it in any bad way :-)Erm, well, there is nothing particularly different in my default setup. All I have done is to run the plane at seattle, time in the evening, with engines running, and just the default flight setup it comes with in the install.I have tried it at different airports, but it didn't work.I think that's about all the information I can give youThanks for youy help
May 5, 200422 yr Hi,Well. What I wanted to know was, what aircraft do you have as default in the Create a Flight dialog? And in what state is that aircraft? If this is a PMDG NG I would suggest you make a new saved flight with a default a/c make it cold and dark with the avionics switch on and choose this to be your default flight. You can also try to start it cold and dark. There has been changes made in the gauges between the 600/700 and 800/900. Maybe it's something not agreeing between your saved flight and the 800/900?Hope it helps, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
