TCAS Mini Tutorial

Recommended Posts

Guest tezbedz

Hi,I've downloaded the 800/900 and have been busy printing out the manuals, I read the TCAS mini tutorial and although it seems to be written for an experienced multiplayer/Online Pilot I think it should be made clear that when connecting your aircraft should be parked at a gate, not "materialise" on the runway then "Taxi or Slew" off it.I'm sure you understand that that practice is very naughty, and would upset a controller and/or other pilot if a plane suddenly appears in front.Sometimes planes do materialise on top of each other at gates, but, so long as pilots fly with crash disabled that should not cause a problem, merely a short slew to the nearest free gate.Cheers, I'm looking forward to getting to grips with it all laterTerry

Good point ;) It wouldn't be good if people did that right when you're doing a good job on final.Geoffrey BaleanCanberra, AU (YSCB)http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg"Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday. Hi George,I must apologise I did not read and digest properly, paragraph 4 states exactly what I was saying and could not be made much clearer.Sorry for the unwarranted criticismTerry

No problem Terry and an apology is not needed! :-)I appreciate others perspective and if there is something I can do to make the tutorial clearer, I will be happy to add/change. After reading the tutorial as many times as I have, it's hard for me to really be sure what others perspective may be.Hmmm... I wonder if I needed to run a "Beta Test" for the tutorial... NAH! :-lolGeorgehttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/betaimg.jpg
