"Airac Database loading" (Please Wait) ?

Featured Replies

Hi,does anyone know what it means? I get this message quite often in the last days. Everytime I load a 737NG aircraft. I have installed the latest AIRAC-Cycle from navdata.at.Does it mean it overwrites the current cycle with the old one? It's quite important for me to know if the cycle is getting modified or even overwritten, because I use FSNavigator and RadarContact and I need all AIRAC data to be at same version level.ThanksGreetingsConstantin

Hi Constantin,No, it's just a progress information to let you know that the FMC is loading the AIRAC database from the HDD. This was put in at request because it takes quite a few seconds to complete and many pilots were wondering why the plane takes so looong to load.It doens't do any changes to the files. Just informs you what it's doing.George DorkofikisAthens, Greecehttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/betaimg.jpg

And to add some further information to George post. The NG has done this since release 1.0 of the 600/700. This is the first time you actually get a glimpse on what's taking place behind the scene. You will see this AIRAC loading message window the first time you load the PMDG NG in an FS-session. Cheers,
