Try increasing the hardware acceleration of your video card. You will find this setting under the "troubleshoot" tab in the display properties. In order to prevent mouse cursor flickering the slider should be moved fully to the right. Moving it one notch (or more) to the left will disable cursor acceleration and give you flickering problems.Some people prefer to decrease hardware acceleration for their video cards as this may increase graphics performance under certain conditions. Unfortunately, mouse cursor flickering is an undesired effect of this tweak.

ChadMy best guess is that you are experiencing this in full screen and have a nVidia geForce card. If this assumption is correct then this is a driver issue and has yet to be resolved. I guess the blinking behaviour is only affecting the default cursor. If so the blinking stops on any FS cursors i.e hands, hand with plus/minus sign.But as I said it's just a guess. Some more data would probably provide for a more accurate answer.Cheers,
