May 8, 200422 yr I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this phenomenon, but I find my airplane (737NG-900) is always running short of AvGas! I'm forced to continually feed more juice into the tanks, and I'm getting pretty consisent "insufficient fuel" warnings on the FMS. I left CYEG for CYYJ - about 500nm, and I had double what was required in the tanks and still ran out slow and low on final. ;-)Anybody got any ideas?Ron McLeod CYEG
May 8, 200422 yr Do you base you fuel usage from FPPMs for the 900? You do not mention how much or even your cruise altitude and what is "double what was required"? How are we to judge whether it is right or wrong?[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. May 8, 200422 yr Avgas? Don't they fly on jet fuel? ;-)Cheers,Ian Udingahttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg

How are we to judge whether it is >right or wrong?I base my fuel usage on the NavLog I get from FSB. If the 330FL FSB fplan calls for 12000 lbs of fuel (no alternate or hold) for the 737 900, (CYEG-CYYJ), and I have 25K on board, and my climb is mananged, then one would think fuel should not be a problem. As I said it ran out on final and that should not be happening as it does with the default MS-737 400. I was simply curious if I'm the ONLY one having the fuel problems, not looking for an in depth analysis. I have seen a few complaining about FMS "insufficient fuel" which I also mentioned. Evidently not since you're the only reply. In another flight today, I used a fuel planner AND FSB, on a flight from CYEG - KDEN. Same problem, ran out of fuel 10-Nm from the airport and (once again) was careful to carry extra juice. Loss of electronics, blah, blah, blah. Now either I'm doing something stupid - which may well be - or there is a problem in the Sim.Ron McLeod CYEG
